Well, last time I checked I was European and I love baseball (and for once I mean the Ameriko thing (( and the Cuban thing too, I saw the Cuban team play once here in Holland))). Problem is that all the good games are aired in the middle of the night over here and the last couple of years on pay-tv
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
      Once again...

Yeah and of course there are people like you who like and understand the game, but you are part of a minority are you not? Vice versa with the states and football.
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

Well, as a Euro I'm definitely a minority, but in Holland baseball is one of the "big" small sports. We are not Euro champion for nothing The Dutch team is known for occasionally beating American college teams. Not too often though And IIRC we beat Cuba in the last Olympics.

I went to watch Houston Astros play Chicago Cubs a year ago in September. Wrigley Field the stadium?

Anyway both teams were bottom of the league and so it made the game extremely exciting - both pithchers were so crap the score was ~ 13-11.

I got to see the infamous Sammy Sosa, but not being a baseball fan didn't recognise the name at the time.

I know the rules of baseball, thanx to a partial American childhood, but I'm not interested in it.
