Gay people should be stared at because only 1 in 10 people is gay, then?

People have the urge to stare at people in wheel chairs because they like to know or consider why they would be in there, and how they got there. People stare at homosexuals because they think they're either sinners, evil, disgusting, what have you.

I thought Che's post was spot-on.

One thing that is important to note is that many of the people who hate homosexuals aren't really Christian. They are just simple, stupid, narrowminded bullies who like to pick on anybody who is diffrent from themselves. I don't know of any form of Christianity that favors beating up gays. And I don't think that many of the people bullying gays ascribe to Christian sexual morality themselves- how many of these people beating up gays abstain from premarital sex, do not look at porn, etc.?

The ones that point to the bible and shriek that Homosexuality is a sin and then also harass homosexuals to convert to heterosexuality. They implant the idea in people's heads that homosexuals are lesser people, or not people at all, at which point many people take it upon themselves to harass, bully, mock, and even assault the sinners. You know, to let them see the light.

Dad said that in the world he created, diseases are caused by one of three things: bacteria, viruses, and genetic flaws (even though I think that he is using that "genetic flaw" bit to hide a bunch of errors he made on creation day. But I digress.)

Anyway, I asked him if homosexuality was a disease and he said "No, of course not."

Not an anti-Christian troll at all. I was targetting a specific subset of Christians, those who promote heterosexism. While there are those, say, the Cathoic Church who say, "Love the sinner, not the sin," there are all too many out there who secretly agree with the Rev. Phelps of the world when he states, "God hates fags!" (This is not to say I endorse the Catholic Church's variant of heterosexism. There are Christian churches out there that embrace homosexuality -- "God doesn't make mistakes.")

Furthermore, kids in high school are cruel towards gays because they are taught that it is okay to be cruel towards gays, sissy-boys, etc., anyone who fails to live up to the heterosexist ideal of what men and women are supposed to be. There is far less racism in shool than there used to be (and still far too much), because kids have been taught it is not okay to be racist. Kids get the message from their coaches, from their churches, from their political leaders, from their parents, etc. that gays aren't right and are disgusting and have no rights.

You are putting the cart before the horse. The attitudes of children are a reflection of societies ills, not the cause of them.

I support you being a christian EVC

also the group you are in sounds questionable, it also seems that you may have joined out of confusion for who you are

Christ can help you answer that, but this group seems liable to lead you astray (it seems like a cult)

it is just hard for people to no how to interact with you on a forum

escpecially with some of the stunts you have pulled previously

we would like you to stay, but if you feel the need for a break fill free
