I managed to get Canada, Greenland, Iceland, most of the carribean, and several central american countries under my control. But then it crashed as hordes of european troops began invading my shores.

Ummm...I dunno. Good concept, but it's utterly unrealistic in terms of military combat, it seems - I ran some simple war scenarios, declared war on China. And China invaded Japan. Sorry, but that's utterly beyond their capabilities, especially in the numbers they invaded in.

They don't have the sea transport abilities, they don't have the amphibious assault abilities, and they don't have the necessary modern air defense suppression forces, which you'd need against Japan. I was getting like 1.6 kb a second.
I started at about 11:00-12:00......I spotted the demo before the guy was able to post it.
And it gone done around 9:00
