Stefu - thanks for the info.

It seems that I should know who are Kari Enqvist, Anthony Giddens, Thomas Hobbes and Martin Buber, but I don't have a clue.

I don't want their biography, just a little info.

I got Russell. That's okay, but I expected existentialists Søren (Sören) Kierkegaard and especially Sartre. I wonder what I did "wrong".

        Mihai,

Okay I know a little bit aboot Hobbes (who is not who I chose the name after, I chose my name after my love for the comic strip 'Calvin and Hobbes', and the name 'Calvin' was kinda boring so I chose Hobbes, anyway...)
        here's what I dug up:
Hobbes believed that humans were basically selfish creatures who would do anything to better their position. Left to themselves, he thought, people would act on their evil impulses. According to Hobbes, people therefore should not be trusted to make decisions on their own. In addition, Hobbes felt that nations, like people, were selfishly motivated. To Hobbes, each country was in a constant battle for power and wealth. To prove his point, Hobbes wrote, "If men are naturally in a state of war, why do they always carry arms and why do they have keys to lock their doors?"

Hobbes wrote "Leviathan", arguably the greatest work of political philosophy in the English language. He may or may not be credited with originating the concept of the social contract (depending who you ask).

Notice how Calvin and Hobbes are both names of famous philosophers?

Actually, I came out as a banana and a lobster telephone. Now I'm really confused, because to the best of my knowledge, Habermas is a pear and Schopenhauer is a Benoit Mandelbrot Holding A Duck.

IMO all wars (with very little exceptions) were/are fought for economic reasons. No surprise that this test put me near Hobbes. When I'll have more time I'll do a search for him - he seems to be a smart guy

Whoo hoo! I got Tuure Lehén, who is known for, for example, being an officer in the Red Army and being in the Terijoki government !!! (The questions where I DISagreed with him: 11, 12, 16, 17 (don't slap me), 19 (so he wasn't a good guy after all), 27, 29 and 30.)

After him comes Kari Enqvist, of whom I have never heard, and Russel, of whom I have heard although I can't remember a damn thing about what his philosophy was...

The guy that is most against me: Carl Schmidt (who?)
