Would be right here.
Of course, it's in Finnish, but when has that bothered you?
...
All right, it might bother you poor foreigners a wee bit. Here are the questions, translated by your truly. (Options, BTW, are, in order from green bar to the red "Completely agree - agree - can't say - disagree - completely disagree")
1. What becomes of a person depends on his/her genes.
2. Everything that exists has a meaning, and nothing exists just coincidentally.
3. Everyone should live so that their actions cause as much sensual pleasure as possible.
4. Technological development and economical growth will lead to world becoming better place to live for everyone.
5. I believe that God or some higher power exists.
6. I don't want to tie myself to any particular religion.
7. Man shouldn't strive to be lord of the nature, but one species amongst others.
8. If no particular suffering is caused to animals, I have nothing against fur farming.
9. I believe to at least some supernatural phenomenons.
10. It is right that people with large income pay considerably larger share of their income as taxes than people with small income.
11. Everybody should participate in political decision-making according to their possibilities.
12. War and violence are primarily caused by male power.
13. There is nothing morally wrong with suicide.
14. Government should only concentrate on maintaining the public order.
15. Some attempts at achieving equality by women have gone too far.
16. Politicians should always act according to wish of majority.
17. Earth has been visited by intelligent creatures from another planet.
18. I believe to life after death.
19. People, goods and capital should move between continents as freely as possible.
20. There is no commonly human, commonly applicable or "natural" morality.
21. Property rights are the basis of freedom.
22. Man, like other animals, is guided by his instincts.
23. Homosexuality is unnatural and therefore to be condemned.
24. Witches and shamans have much knowledge about healing not possessed by modern medicine.
25. You can do anything you want, unless it causes harm to others.
26. While I naturally don't accept assault, physical discipline of children shouldn't be entirely forbidden.
27. My attitude towards work is well described by the comment from (important Finnish book) Tuntematon Sotilas "The things that have to be done will be done, but otherwise, no need to give a damn." (1)
28. Saying "Strong make it while the weak fall" applies to society, too.
29. Person should only strive for modest standard of life, so his/her basic needs are satisfied.
30. Every citizen has the duty to participate in defense of his/her country or otherwise help in defense.
31. A person should especially be valued according to how difficult and productive his/her work is.
32. Abortion laws in Finland should be substantially tightened. (2)
33. In future most problems where answers have been sought from religion or philosophy will be answered by science.
(1) Crappy translation - saying's much better in original book, but I doubt anyone would have understood "What needs to be done will be done, but otherwise we'll be like Ellu's chickens."
(2) You can get abortion if:
1. If life of mother is in danger
2. If child will cause undue burdens to life of family
3. If the pregnancy is caused by rape
4. If mother is under 17, over 40, or she has already given birth to 4 children
5. If there is reason to except child has developmental disorder or he has or will develop difficult illness or physical problem
6. If one or both parents have difficult sickness or mentally imbalanced or there is a reason comparable to those strongly limiting their ability to take care of child.
Abortion is legal for above mentioned reasons until 12th week of pregnancy, after that until 20th week with express permission from Department of Health and until 24th week if the child is disabled.
Anyway, I got:
1. Anthony Giddens 83.0%
2. Jürgen Habermas 77.0%
3. Karl R. Popper 76.0%
From Finns, I got Ben Zyskowicz as top choice, which is... scary.
