  • Osama and Mulla get away (this is freakin amazing!)

Isnt it amazing how both of them appear to have gotten away?Mullah hasnt been seen since Khandahar fell! You'de think that 25 million dollar bounty would help to get them?

    Arg! ---->

What did you expect? US government should have thought that they need to give political asylum to whoever talks about the whereabouts of Osama and the Mulla Omar! Money isn't of any good if the person who gets the reward is in risk of getting killed. That person could be chased by fundamentalists for life!

Zealot, that was done. The US offered immigration assistance to squealers. The full extent was never discussed in detail. I don't know if they were offering "witness protection type" deals. But it sounded close.

The people who know the whereabouts of bin Laden and Omar are the inner circle people, who happen to be the most loyal.

If Taliban and al-Qaeda types fought to the death to defend what they think it's right, money just isn't going to be enough.

The newest "rumor" is that Mullah is held up outside of Kandahar.

Don't worry boys, we will get our man.

Even if he looks like a piece of charcol when this is all overwith.

Osama and Omar are in the hills of Tora Bora. It didn´t collapse. You must realize there are sproadic gunfights. He could be captured within hours. The Pakistanis have their entire Army out for him.

Both of them are dead men.

For all we know they could both be buried in the rubble of what was a mountain cave.

The most wanted man in the world and his butt pirate are not going to get away!

I agree - even if/when he does die, we're likely never to know.

The US gov will announce that he was killed... but they won´t say how he was.

If Bin Laden has any brains (and the planning of the Pentagon and WTC attacks strongly suggests that he does), then he probably left Afganistan on Sept 12.
On the other hand, if he's so stuipid as to expect the attacks would do something other then really piss the Americans off, then he's probably somewhere in Afganistan, running for his life

I see a flaw in the bounty plan...

Correct me if I'm wrong here guys...

When this first happened, wasn't the bounty something like $1M?

A few weeks later it rose to $5M and then to $10M - now it's $25M...

Don't you see? The greedy bastards are holding out for an even bigger payout!

Reminds me of that old TV show in the US, "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?"

We'll have Bin Liner sending in his latest video from yet another secret hideout and we'll have to guess where he is from the geology of the rocks in the cave, or the logo on the beermats...

                        ---

Seriously though, I reckon he's gotta be in the Tribal Northwest Frontier part of Pakistan...

Here's something to consider - what happens if he makes it back to the predominantly Wahhabi Saudi Arabia!!? That would make for a very 'interesting' situation indeed!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

The Saudi government would like nothing more than to get his ass and haul it into a public square for a little demonstration of Sharia in action.

Most Afghans ain't likely to turn one of their own in to foreigners. Nobody can say bin Laden's ass isn't dead and rotting in one of those bombed out caves. Moving cross country in the white mountains in winter is a *****. He may not have even ever been there, but he's at the very least neutralized to the extent that he has to look over his shoulder constantly and lay extremely low.

One thing's for certain for both Omar and bin Laden - time ain't on their side.

                            No, its on my side

Btw, the Saudi government refused to arrest OBL on a couple of occasions when he was in Saudi Arabia before Sep 11.
