It's interesting that african americans, probably among the most opressed people in America, have not, to my knowledge formed any terror organizations. And even if they did, I have yet to hear about one terract performed by them.

Infact, the latest boom in afro-american hate-groups, is due to the large spreading of Islam (as opposed to christianity) among african americans.

It's interesting that russians, opressed by their own government since the Tzars, through communism, and even in the half-democracy they have now, have yet to form terrorist groups.

It's interesting that Jews, who were persecuted and opressed around the world, only formed 2 small closed terrorist groups, which were active only in Palestine.

The Jewish Kahane Khai, or Kakh, is hardly a terrorist group. If anything, It's more similar to the world wide popular groups of racist thugs. The most it's ever done is harass arabs.

It has yet to have successfully organize something. It's right-wing extremists who hold signs for the destruction of Arabs in Israel and Gaza and the West Bank.

As for Muslims being more likely to be terrorists, it depends on what kind of terrorism you mean. If you count "domestic" terrorism like the Troubles in NI or the whole Colombian mess, then I don't think you can make that statement.
If you only count "internationall" terrorism (the target of current actions) then I suppose that the majority are Muslim. However there are not many groups that take the fight outside of their immediate area of concern (Al Qaeda obviously and probably the Algerian fundamentalists groups).

That's not actually true. The first killings were of Jews by Arabs incited by the new Mufti of Jerusalem, appointed by the Brits. The person they picked was one of two prominent familes, the al-Huseeinis and the Nashishibis (I used to go to school with one of the Nashishibis). The al-Hussein's were not only anti-Jewish but also ant-British, while the Nashishibis were the opposite. Britain picked an al-Husseini to try and buy the family's loyalty, but dim-wittingly, set the stage for Jewish-Arab relations for the rest of the century and beyond. (Damn Brits! )

I believe the first progrom happened in 1929. It was after this event that the settlers formed the Haganah. There were sporadic attacks on the settlers by Arabs, and within a few years, the Jews began retaliating in kind. You can't really blame the settlers in the 20s and 30s for responding to violence with violence. After 1939, however, Arab violence ended for about 8-9 years, and only erupted again when the UN suggested giving away half the country to the Jews. Jewish violence, however, did not end, but mostly that was directed against the Brits, so who cares. They reaped what they sowed.

axi : muslims are hardly the group to be oppressed most or for the longest time . there are groups to be opressed much more for much longer periods , the obvious choice would be sub-saharan africa . yet you don't see planes hijacked by people from Zaire , or world wide terrorists based in the Ivory coast .

Religion condones violence . Islam is currently the strongest religion on the planet, with christianity being pushed , and Islam being a part of the gov't in most of the muslim world . are there countries that state sponsor christianity ?
