  • Next British Apolytoners Meeting: January/February 2002, Bristol.

Yep, there's the info. As we have had a kind offer for us lot in York/Hull to visit MikeH for a weekend or so, we thought we may as well try and coincide an apolyton meeting with it, whenever it is going to be. Bristol should certainly give Seneca an easier time than last time, people in London shouldn't have too much bother getting across and with luck *fingers very much crossed* we may even be able to drag BFB out of his den

Damn, London, Leeds, Bristol. It's like one roving freakshow

Fine. Wombat, Redjon and myself will have our own rival meet.....

Guess I might as well drive to Bristol then.

Unsurprisingly, I quite like this idea (Bristol, that is, not Maidstone )

I'll try and think of a pub that's easy to get to - the nearest Weatherspoons is a fair distance from the station, but directly opposite an incredibly obvious landmark.

You don't know what your missing.

Ok maybe not Maidstone, but how about the infamous Bat and Ball.

I say The Hebrides. Or Londonderry. Why make it easy on ourselves?

Let's do it in Ouagadougou! Just for the cool name and to say I have been there!

Hebrides...sounds like a hammer horror film...'Revenge of the He Brides'...well, kinda...

York to Maidstone is 4hrs 15 mins
York to Bristol is 4hrs 8 mins
York to Bat and Ball 3hrs 40 mins

I could actually make this one its only a few quid from Taunton to Bristol (jyah, like you guys want to meet me )

I'm still 17 though, but that should be alright

Well hallelujah. I suppose I've no excuse really?

The Commercial Rooms on Corn Street is (unless I'm horribly mistaken) the pub that Seneca's referring to, and it's a damned good choice.
