Actually its not that hard to be straight and not be interested, you can easily block yourself from such. You can stem any emotion with a thought. On the biological-chemical bases, attraction happens because of horomones, which are chemicals, it you stem emotion, your brain is just making counters to the chemical.

Like I said, I don't think it'll be hard for me to stay single forever and I'm 17 this year and never had a date.
