However, as much as I would like to see B-52's over Mogadishu, that wouldnt be prudent.

If hard evidence sufaces that Iraq supplied the Anthrax used to attack the United States and Germany, I would be in favor of action against Saddam Hussein.

An invasion of Iraq would not be in the cards.

Remember, the ban on Political Assassination is gone again.

Even as we speak, the CIA and Special Forces are probably training Iraqi's who hate Saddam as much as we do to assassinate him. A far more realistic scenario, and maybe the easiest/most effective one.

Some limited airstrikes to destroy Iraq's NBC industry will probably sorty as well.

Aside from that, I wouldnt expect large scale military op's inside Iraq. All this talk about "invading" Iraq is pointless, no such action would be attempted because its not necessary like in Afghanistan.

One of our Battleships had an onboard explosion (USS Maine). It was thought that a spanish cannon battery on a hill fired on it in Havanna harbor.

They proved in the 1930's that it was actually an explosion in the ammunition storage room.

Yes limitied intervention. When we captured Mexico city in the 1800's we never stayed there..... Ditto with our interventions in Carribibean

We whooped the mighty spaniards with relative ease.

But it was a mistake cause the spaniards couldnt figure what we were so pissed about. They knew nobody shot at the Maine. Turns out they were right....nobody did shoot at the maine.

Took out there entire fleets and they lost everything..... that was the end of thew spanish empire.
