      Well...you're always welcome, Andz...

hey, Zopper, why can't I see a post of your mate anywhere here?
Oogie hasn't been on Poly for some time...he lately doesn't have much time either...

So...can we say for certain now that my proposed plan is the one we're sticking to...?
Or do we wait for the responses of MarkL and Mercator...?

Well then, I might as well go too. Not sure yet, as I'm bound to forget this (not to mention that I'm rather shy and not good at things like this... Mommy help! Strange men are talking to me! *bursts out in tears* (sorry, my psychopathic self took over just now Hey, what's that butcher knife doing in my hand? )...

And doesn't that HCC thing have an entrance fee or something? I might pop in there too.

By the way, does anyone know when Civ3 will be released in Holland? The end of October like everywhere else? *sigh* Maybe I should pre-order it after all.

Ah Zopper, it took me some time to post, so I missed your post.

Who's in for sure, and who's thinking about coming?

It's almost scary how often we're online together, Zopper.

            So it's decided then!

            date Saturday 24th november Utrecht
            time 15:00
location somewhere close to the Jaarbeurs

I'll see if i can find a few locations that hit the spot. Shouldn't be a problem with only 5-10 people. Watch this space for info!

More information can be found at
www.hccdagen.nl (info about the fair itself)
www.jaarbeurs.nl (info on convention center itself)
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

Here's a map with the location of the Jaarbeurs and Utrecht CS. I've also drawn a circle around the likely meeting area until I've found a good meeting place. The are a few cafes and restaurants there, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Mercator: The online ticket service at the HCC site states that tickets cost fl. 15,50 ordering in advance can be handy. Otherwise you'll have to wait in line to buy a ticket at the HCC itself. Should you want to go in.

              P.S
To give an estimate of the size of the event. The HCC dagen takes up hall 7 to hall 12.

Sure no problem, but I'm planning to be there early, around 15-20 mins before the fair opens. Visiting every hall can take up to two hours, another hour to findout about the super bargains and another hour to start buying. It will be 14:00 by then so put on your walking shoes.

I take you'll come by train? In that case we can meet at Utrecht CS.

I know we have some Dutch posters who don't post or read the OT much. If you know any PM them and please ask them to post on this thread.

One more time, please. As confirmation.

                        Place?
                        Exact location?
                        Date?
                        Time?
                        Who will be there?
                        How will we recognise eachother?
What if it is really crowded?

Well I think I've found a nice meeting point. It's the cafe "de marketier" next to exit that leads to the Jaarbeurs. If you come from the station you'll walk thru a long hall with stores to the right. Walk to the end of the hall until you see the main exit with the escalators the cafe is just to the right. Also see the attached map. I suggest we meet next to the entrance of the cafe. I'll see if I can find something conspicuously to wear that doesn't make me look like a complete git. That way we should have no trouble missing each other.
