That's the literal translation, but it doesn't make sense in French
Literal translation of French well-wishes:
"Bear yourself well"
"Put yourself back"

Eugh, what does this mean?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Thanks Spiffor. So would "Ours vous-même bien" or "Remis" be correct?

That would be "portez vous bien" (the verb to bear), or "remettez vous bien".

"Tous mes voeux de prompt retablissement"
C'est ce que l'on dit habituellement dans c'cas-la (de Milan).
Et dorenavant, il te faudra ecouter ceux qui te diront "Gare, DAVOUT!".
Best wishes of fast recovery
... and two untranslatable jokes
The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame. Oscar Wilde.
DAVOUT is getting a little better every day, but is still fairly weak. He started exercising a little, but has still a long way to go before he can climb a full flight of stairs.
He was really touched by your messages of support and friendship. He was impressed to see some of you learning french for the occasion, and appreciated when french poets were quoted. I know he wants to write a message to thank you, but in the meantime I want to thank you myself, since your messages really helped boost his morale.
He now realizes that this was really a close call, in particular when he sees the astonished look of the doctors coming by as soon as they read his file. It seems he is THE case to attend to when you are a heart doctor 200 km around.
It is a miracle that he is still with us; but, now that he knows it, he may end up being even more obnoxious than before ! I trust you will help him remain patient and tolerant with us mere mortals
It will be at least a few weeks before he can get close to an Internet connexion, but I hope he will be able to write some articles that I'll type for him before that. In the meantime do not forget him...
DAVOUT has mad skillz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
