I feel sorry for William (a little), as it is quite clear he doesn't want to be king and would rather live a normal life, but he has an enitre family and an entire government, not to mention a sizable portion of the British public, pressuring him otherwise. The Aussie ones may well have a better chance of getting what they want though as opinion seems to be slowly swinging more towards the monarchy these days. Still, the press jump on any chance they get to bring the debate back, and it would only take an inkling of monarchy interference to swing opinion the other way.

In any case I dont think the Scandinavian monarchs are hounded like the UK royals. Perhaps cause they havent spent several decades pursuing the press? With gross extravaganzas like Charles and Di's wedding? Perhaps cause they arent trying to justify a civil list on the scale of the UK royals.
