This is a terrible loss of life. I would say at least it didn't occur on land but from what has happened it appears that it spread the damage far and wide.

Anyway, I have family in India, most in Calutta and surrounding area. Most of them appear to be fine, though some (in other areas of India) are reporting that airpots have been sunk and that they have recievied minor injuries from it all.

The sad truth is that 10,000 dead is pretty light for an earthquake this big. Anywhere near a major urban center and we could be looking at hundreds of thousands of casualties...KH FOR OWNER!
