Biggest earthquake in 40 years hits Southeast Asia
EDIT: Now you've really done it, making me agree with Fez. You need therapy.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
I could just say a few things about him... but to the respect of the 10,200+ dead I will not. VJ should be banned... and someone should give him a kick in the head.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)
These are my damn relatives you are speaking about. You better show some god damn respect.
Yeah right. Tell me something: If you really care for your relatives, then why don't you have any idea where exactly are they? Thailand is a pretty damn big country (½Mm²), and like I said, only a narrow southern part of it was struck with this disaster. Most of the population is not within hundreds of kilometres of that area.

Oh boohoo, people died and I'm not giving whipping myself out of shame. Calm down, little one. It's not like you're going to save anyone by whining about it on the Internet.

Yeah right my ass.
Because information travel slowly in my family. People don't often tell me where some of my relatives are going. They told me they were going to Southern Thailand on vacation, and I was not concerned where they were before the earthquake. I did not have to know there exact location. Furthermore, you're a damn fool who should just shut your mouth. You shouldn't even be in this thread. Most of the resorts ARE IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION, 200 TOURIST DIVERS WERE SWEPT AWAY, YOU FOOL! READ THE DAMN NEWS!

"In southern Thailand at least 310 people were killed, including foreign tourists at famous seaside resorts, and 5000 injured, officials said."
DO NOT EVEN ARGUE WITH ME!

You are pathetic.... Show some god damn respect. I could of lost some relatives over there as several of them are professional divers. You are the little one.. you are so small people don't care.

Did someone piss in your Post Toasties this morning, VJ? You're more of an asswipe than usual.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Are you serious or just trolling? Here's an idea: quit showing your ass. No one asked you to "whip yourself from shame", but a little goddamn respect for the dead isn't too much to ask, is it?
I hope you never have to deal with the loss of a loved one before their time.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
I tried not to reply as Gian asked, but since commies seem to be getting kicks out of mental masturbation...
Show some god damn respect.
It's pretty damn easy to just whine about people dying because of some disaster which occured on the other side of the globe. Trying to help them could be a bit harder, but what would be the fun in that? You wouldn't have time to praise yourself from "showing respect" anymore. You're not the only one with close relatives in SE Asia, you know. Some of them ain't just ****ing around as tourists.
Because information travel slowly in my family.
They don't have a cell phone or anything? Try using SMS.
I was not concerned where they were before the earthquake.
Ie. you didn't really care until it occured to you that you could use them in an argument to whine to your fellow posters here?
You need therapy.
A bunch of people died since they either lived right next to a continental slope or they didn't build their houses properly. Where's the big outrage? I guess I could enter a few sad smilies in order to look good, but what's the point? What would that solve? Really, who cares? Do you think you really even remember this accident after a year?
EDIT:
I hope you never have to deal with the loss of a loved one before their time.
Ok, this is just bs. Love is a hippie lie, a feel-good term which in reality doesn't exist, a depressing euphemism for lust, used to gain credibility when you need to look good in front of kids. I think we all know this, we've grown up. You can stop using this holier-than-thou -crap.
If it offends you so much, why bother to post? Is it theoretically possible for you to skip this thread and not post/ignore it?
But what's the fun in that, right?

Boy, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or what? Whine about people dying because of some disaster? I don't whine. I discuss. And I show concern especially since my relatives are in fact in Southern Thailand. I don't know there exact locations in Southern Thailand. Furthermore, my family is trying to get into contact with them. You should just be careful what you say, dip****. Be very careful. I'm not praising myself... just showing some concern, like others in this thread who have had expressed similiar concerns about their own loved ones there.
They don't have a cell phone or anything? Try using SMS.
They can't have a cell phone because the service they use does not have international service, as most cell phones. You need to smarten up too.
you didn't really care until it occured to you that you could use them in an argument to whine to your fellow posters here?
Whine? You are a fool.. and you don't know what you are talking about. I simply am expressing valid concerns and am posting valid information.

I am showing a huge outrage about the poor infrastructure. That's why my friend's family left Bangladesh and immigrated to the United States. You really should shut your pathetic mouth. You are a god damn troll. A stupid one at that effect.

I was originally posting in order to provide information to Gian, (Edit: and to ask a single question from che). Then you showed up and started to bash me along the lines of your moral crusade, constantly demanding replies.
Is it theoretically possible for you to skip this thread and not post/ignore it?

Yeah, I think I'll take the hint now...
You don't know ****. I was the one posting information. I was the one posting links. You posted nothing. Get out of here you dis-information troll.

Generally speaking, if three different people with different viewpoints all agree that you're a dip****, chances are you're a dip****.

Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh
