to all of this. If they get the evidence, sure, but the only thing those images say to me is we still have a hell of a lot to learn about Mars' geology before we can start screaming we found life.
There are plenty of natural features on Earth as well that look artificial. Just look at some typical Atlantis banter.Comment

Most meteorites are very cold shortly after impact. The interaction with the atmosphere that causes them to 'burn up' only really effects the temperature of the surface atoms and doesn't penetrate the object at all.
