  • Sorry, no dice.

It's a capital city, and I'll give you one more picture to study.

    • I can't think of any European coastal capital that could look like this.

Just for the sake of guessing: Tirana?

        • No it's not Tirana. Maybe the last pic isn't the most flattering of this fine city, but I had to preserve a bit of the mystery by not posting "postcard views".

Gangerolf seems to be on to something, so I'll help out a little by guessing also.

          Kathmandu?

          No, sorry.

          • Very flat, coastal, capital city, apparently European, and southern at that...

Is there any place in southern Europe that is fricking flat? I would think of Varna, but it's not a capital city

            • We need more people to make guesses so that Gangerolf can take home the prize, again...

It is in Europe yes, and remember, Paris was closer than Sevilla.

              • Tirana seems to be the only coastal capital in Southern Europe, maybe it's a river? Let's see what the G has to say.

There are reasons why I believe mankind should live in cities and let nature reclaim all the villages with the exception of a few we keep on display as horrific reminders of rural life.-Starchild

                  • If Paris is closer than Seville, I doubt it's Southern.

                    • I swear I've seen that fountain before but I for the world can't remember where...

Ah well, to allow Gangerolf to post his answer I'll venture a wild guess: Riga.

                          • Dublin is correct!

                            The pictures show:

                            1) Fountain named "Floozy in the Jacuzzi"
                            2) Bell Tower of Trinity College. Legend has it that the bells ring at midnight in the event a virgin walks by
                            3) View of part of Dublin's port, to be developed into housing districts in the future, with Clontarf in the background

And here's another bonus pic, showing an actual hardware store front in Dublin. Must be a great tourist attraction, don't you think?

                              • Duh I'm stupid.

Very flat, very green, and the religious architecture made entirely of stone... How couldn't I think of Ireland?
