I'd like to suggest that (if possible) pics should have enough info so that we have a chance of identifying the location from clues in the pic. Then we could include locations rather than just cities.
I don't think this was ever a city quiz. People can post pics of anything, but of course it has to be "guessable". We've had a number of pictures of ruins and the like, and it's all fine with me. As long as it can be reasonably figured out.

As I said, continent, coastal and a little hunting. It really helped when you posted the overview, because then we were able to get a feel for the surrounding coastal layout, including part of the cape. And it was also evident from the pictures that this was an important port for the country in question.

The cross on the gate-tower looks to be from Greek or Romanian orthodox and the shape suggests a moslem influence so I'd guess this is the balkans or nearby. It would help if the fountain pic was higher resolution.
