Sure-- although its hardly a CPA exam question -- I only have two basic accounting courses. Just bump the initial cost of the materials for the machine to 200K and that would take care of your salvage issue.

Ya it takes time to thresh out an opinion. You cannot expect a proponent of capitalism to be necessarily conversant in the theories of the given branch of communism that you espouse. After all there is a wide variation in thinking ( I see this as healthy) just as there are among capitalists.

Something I agree with kidicious on . Anyone else here has a right to express their opinion on here. I know that che has differentiated his views from those of kidicious on a number of areas ( and I actually comprehend che's logic even when I don't agree with it).

Total Revenue is ($60,000 + 100,000 + 1M) $1,160,000. Subtract the nonlabor costs ($200,000) and get $960,000. The total manhours were 17,000 mh. Divide 960,000 by 17,000 and get $56.47 per hour. Each person should be compensated that for every hour that they worked.

Only problem is that you didn't know in years 1, 2 and 3 what you profits would be in year 4 and people have this annoying habit of wanting to be paid WHEN they work. If I used your method in year 1, I have 3000 hours and 60,000 so 20 bucks an hour. When I offer this to my employee he leaves for a $25 buck an hour across the street


Also lets use your methodology if the business stopped after 3 years-- Then revenue is 180,000 and fixed costs are 200,000. So negative 20,000 divided by 7000 man hours is a NEGATIVE 2.86 per hour.


Are you happy with THAT result because if you choose a methodology, you have to be happy to stick with it.


So in the result, you have crafted a methodology that is impossible to implement and which would not work in many situations.

I,m sure workers would really really thank you for assigning the risk of profit and loss to them.

That's exactly why I said that it's not a real situation that would work with capitalism. All that you have done is show that capitalism can't work that way, and we already agreed on that.

Ok, my system:

Legislative, Judicial and Executive, in a manner of a parliamentary republic. media publicly owned, and separated from the government, like a different branch. Government-owned everything, 'cept personal transportation, and houses. Electronic elections via cell phones. Since this will increase the easiness of elections, many more positions will be electable. utilities will be run by monopolies. Industrial goods will be run by government owned companies. Consumer goods will be run by government companies, as well, but it will be different from the current system. The new goods designed will be different, and especially ADVERTISING. That would be completely different. I propose just creating an online bulletain board, that would offer all kinds of products, and categorize them, etc.

Employment would work the following way: Education will be according to quotas, and the best X students will get into this or that department ( I think spiffor has already proposed this, and discussed this ). The quotas will be set by commissions, with representatives of the companies.
