That's where you use labor value.

Does it mean that one individual widget's value sinks when productivity rises?

You should have at least let them think of that.

                Worth to whom?

If it's less than it's worth to the employer, than yes, almost always, unless I get EXACTLY the maximum the employer is willing to pay.

If it's less than it's worth to me, obviously not, because I'd be better off not trading my work for the money than doing so!

If it's less than it's worth to a lot of people, but for some reason it's not possible to sell it to those people, then, well, yeah, though I'd try and find a better deal.

I did. I didn't understand it fully because my head feels like it's going to pop right now.

No you wouldn't. You wouldn't be able to pay your bills. How is that better?

I did. It feels a little better. I'll look at it again.

If the money means life or death, then it would probably be worth more to me than the labor

And why should your conditions have anything to do with the (social) value of your labor?

                            • Who's talking about the "social" value of my labor?

Let's look at my post again:

                              Worth to whom?

Value is relative. Frankly, I don't care how much people on average value my labor, except inasmuch as it influences how much I can get for it. The value of my labor to me is OBVIOUSLY based on my conditions.

We are. You should be compensated for the social value of your labor. Should you not?
