Not usually, no. But you're not the intolerable kind of "irritating" that makes me hate a person. My ex-best friend from middleschool/early high school was pretty irritating, got on a lot of peoples' nerves, but he was still my best friend (in a good friendship way, not in a "battered wife syndrome" way). Little annoyances can be overlooked. There's a lesson in there for you.
