Then again, we are talking about US immigration. They probably couldn't tell the difference between a pregnant woman and an old man.
The new visa rules apply to Hong Kong people, even to people travelling in transit.
No loss for me, but the American airlines and the Americans working for the airlines are the ones paying the price. A couple of the airlines are on the verge of bankruptcy and the loss of international fares is one reason for the financial troubles.
