Face it the choice between the two was abysmal at best. The tipper being all that said the conservative movement has a stronger/larger following than the liberal one.

Besides, Ogie, you and I know that a portion of "the radical left" didn't vote for Kerry at all. They voted for the Greens and Socialists.

I agree in general that the candidates kinda sucked, but Kerry isn't appreciably worse than any other candidate I can think of in recent memory besides Clinton the smarmy one who I hated (at the time).

My point was that the electorate that voted for Kerry was comprised primarily of those voting against Bush moreso than actually for Kerry. The point being too many people are asking the same question "How could we not beat Bush?" The answer is the same, Kerry is/was such a douchebag that he achieved the same levels of animus against him in one short year that took Bush 3+ years to foster. Realistically all the dems needed to do was put any ole decent schlub out there and ask him not to fall down on the job. Instead we got Kang or Kodos and the default decision to lean conservative or liberal. And if one looks at US demographics it leans conservative.

Unless all those votes were in Ohio and/or Florida and would have gone to the Democrats otherwise, I'll have to call BS.
