    Ditto.

    Feel better soon Vel!

    • Debating the relative power of the Industrious and Religious traits with Vel (he took Industrious, and unsurprisingly was correct) was some of the most fun I've had online. That, and the other strat forum discussions really hooked me. And I remember being a little sad when he announced he was done with CivIII and off to other things (Candle'bre).

      Hang in there, Vel!

Ahh, yes, from the early days of Civ3... that also being some of the best stuff I have read on Apolyton.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you had in mind, but I think Vel would approve, as this game is his baby.

I've already posted in the private CB thread, but I'll say it again here. GET BETTER!!!

              Get better Vel.

                A speedy recovery, Vel.

                        • Vel, you can't leave now, the drones still need you. I first read Vel's scorpion story over two years ago, and at the time, that was it, just one crazy adventure in Texas. The 360 part is the one that I had not heard of.

You are way too awesome of an individual to be down for any amount of time. You must get better soon.

When I was younger, there was an old guy in my church who survived losing his pancreas. If he can do it, I know you can too.

                              • Are Vel's latest pancreatic problems caused by additional deposits of scorpion venom from that incident so many years ago? Or did the venom itself manage to permanently damage the pancreas?

And to echo the others, Vel ... get well, and soon.
