"Love will tear us apart" by Joy Division :

        When the routine bites hard
        and ambitions are low
        And the resentment rides high
        but emotions won't grow
        And we're changing our ways,
        taking different roads
Then love, love will tear us apart
        again (4)

Why is the bedroom so cold
        Turned away on your side?
        Is my timing that flawed,
        our respect run so dry?
        Yet there's still this appeal
        That we've kept through
        our lives
Love, love will tear us apart again (4)

Do you cry out in your sleep
        All my failings expose?
Get a taste in my mouth
        As desperation takes hold
        Is it something so good
        Just can't function no more?
When love, love will tear us apart
        again (4)
Great song, but not exactly make out music.

A friend of mine recalls losing her virginity just as 'There's a guy works down the chipshop, swears he's Elvis' started up.

Perhaps Wayne County's 'If you don't want to f*** me, f*** off' sounds a death knell for romance, or close encounters.

I'd think Cabaret Voltaire's 'Spread the Virus' also worked well as a contraceptive, and perhaps Siouxsie and the Banshees' 'Carcass' too....

Oh, and to follow up Nostromo's excellent suggestion, another how, sweaty love machine Joy Division track- 'Isolation'.

cheesey. "let's get it on" is one of the most overplayed and subsuquently unromantic songs.

A Perfect Circle seems to do well for me, though. as does nine inch nails, 'the fragile.'

damn. xpost. barry white would be cheesey.

triangle man would be better... constanstinople's tempo is a little fast, and as tenacious d (another great band to boink by) said, "most ladies aren't into the hard fvcking."
