Well who knows.... I still feel uncertain in polls, including gallup. I'll wait till November. Bush is most likely gonna re-establish his lead as more of Kerry's faults get raised.

      The Left Coaster = Garbage
What, do they all write the blog, or is it just Butch Vig or Shirley Manson or the errrrr other one/ones?

Cheney is an even worse one-trick pony than Bush is.

All he can ever talk about is: "enemies" "attack" "they" "we" "freedom" "liberty" "defend"

Edwards is good looking and well spoken. He is a stud, modeled after champions such as myself.

Cheney looks like a haggard old Scrooge and reminds me of the mean old man that sits on his porch and complains about "those damn kids" all the time.

What's really important are the trends (pre-debate Newsweek #'s in paranthesis):

          3-way:
          Kerry 47 (43)
          Bush 45 (49)
          Nader 2 (2)

          2-way:
          Kerry 49 (45)
          Bush 46 (50)

That's an 8 point swing either way. This is pretty big.

          This is also important:
As for who will handle issues better overall, among registered voters Bush leads Kerry 52 to 40 percent on terrorism and homeland security; the situation in Iraq (49% vs. 44%); the situation involving Israel and the Palestinians (46% vs. 39%) and controlling the spread of nuclear weapons (47% v. 43%). Kerry scores better on the economy (52% vs. 39%); health care, including Medicare (56% to 34%) and American jobs and foreign competition (54% vs. 36%), the poll shows.

Overall, 62 percent say Bush has strong leadership qualities (compared to 56% who say so for Kerry). Sixty-six percent say Bush says what he believes, not just what people want to hear, compared to 48 percent for Kerry. Sixty-five percent say Bush is personally likeable (63% say so for Kerry). But more registered voters (57%) say Kerry is honest and ethical (vs. 55% for Bush); the same amount (51%) says they would trust Kerry to make the right decisions during an international crisis as would trust Bush (51%); and more (57%) say Kerry cares about people like them (vs. 49% for Bush). And 80 percent of registered voters say Kerry is intelligent and well informed, compared to 59 percent for Bush.

Kerry's only 5 points down on Iraq, 6 points on leadership, and 4 points on likability. And he's ahead on honesty and tied on trust during an international crisis. This is spectacularly good news for Kerry. He has the momentum, so these numbers will likely move even more in Kerry's favor during the next few days. Hopefully the VP debate can give the Kerry campaign even more momentum.

Edwards is nothing. He doesn't have anything to offer and when it comes down to it... that is what will it come down to.

            You are wrong again.

The VP debate will definitely be a Cheney victory.

              Yeah right.

Edwards has alot of strength, enthusiasm, youth, and ENERGY, and, out of all 4 candidates (Kerry, Bush, Cheney, Edwards), he brings alot of OPTIMISM.

Edwards brings alot of hope and the feeling that things will be better, should I dare say, much in the same way Reagan did????

Edwards has a lot of strength? He's an idiot and Kerry's campaign is all about negativity.

From Edwards' recent speech to a high school:

Most of all I see all these faces, turning from skepticism and despair to inspiration and hope, because they believe in this country. They believe in themselves and they know that you and I together are going to change this country, and build one America that works for all of us.

Edward's is pathetic.. he just doesn't have the intelligence to face Cheney. You may hate Cheney, but he is a very intelligent and clever man.

Not really, though it should be, considering all the negative things Bush has brought us.

                        He is intelligent, sure.

But Edwards is a superior match for him because he is not only just as smart, if not smarter, he's a better speaker, and is more charismatic.

Cheney is a very good serious speaker. I'm looking for somebody serious. Not an idiot like Edwards (who is an idiot, Cheney is smart on the other hand). Cheney is all in all the better speaker. Calling Edwards smarter then Cheney just shows how little you know of either.
