California rolls do suck. Especially the kind made with "imitation crab meat", whatever that might be. However, those vegetable rolls with the mushrooms in them, taste quite good and are less costly than fish.Visit First Cultural Industries
There are reasons why I believe mankind should live in cities and let nature reclaim all the villages with the exception of a few we keep on display as horrific reminders of rural life.-Starchild

California rolls are just as filling as regular sushi.
I notice you didn't address the other complaint about Light Beer... the taste.
And what is wrong with freezing the fish? If you don't live by the ocean and you are eating seafood, it's probably been frozen to get to your plate without decomposing.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I had one of those nights where the only thing that can make me feel better is a huge platter of sashimi and a bowl of miso soup. With a mango and chai smoothie.Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Never said it would kill you. But you could get parasites from eating it.
Yes, parasites and bacteria...but you realise ratios change. 10% of parasites might be due to pollution 10 years ago solved now, or some other kinds of factors.
Or like chop suey.
Chop suey are some kind of American plutocratic invention to make up for the strict food importing laws. There's no such thing here in Singapore or in China, Shanghai, Malaysia, Thailand, or Korea.
Why don't you ****ing respect peoples tastes? Some of us aren't comfortable with eating raw fish.
And an expletive has to be used why? His "" probably meant he was just expressing his own taste.
And no, people who are "uncomfortable with eating raw fish" (except for safety and health reasons, which I respect) usually tend to be the culturally ignorant/narrow-minded type.
I am not sure about the "easily digestible" part. Cooked meat generally is easier to digest than raw meat.
It depends. Take a look at vegetables: broccoli tends to be easier to eat steamed, while cabbage or lettuce loses its distinct crispiness when cooked.
Raw fish tends to be less porous. Cooking fish tends to make it dry - because all the pores inside it absorb the saliva in your mouth, and you have to chew on it more, and it goes down less smoothly. Not cooking it seems to keep the insulating "membrane" on it...Arise ye starvelings from your slumbers; arise ye prisoners of want
The reason for revolt now thunders; and at last ends the age of "can't"
Away with all your superstitions -servile masses, arise, arise!
We'll change forthwith the old conditions And spurn the dust to win the prize

Generalize much? I happen to know plenty of very intelligent people (ie, those who passed law school) who are uncomfortable with raw fish.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
