And not to mention, this is just a date with a guy I've been seeing for quite somes time. For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Considering the fact it was quite obviously written before the speech, that's hardly suprising. However it hardly invalidates the point.Originally posted by Ramo
Yep. That WaPo article completely ignores the significance of the speech
There's no flipflopping, because dumbasses like Shrum have been preventing Kerry from actually articulating an opinion on the matter before.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Because the Bush adminstration is the most civil government out there because it supported the liberation of Iraq. You are for the murder of thousands of Iraqis.
Weren't a thousand Iraqis murdered in the imperial conquest of Iraq?
(I love getting a rise out of Fez)“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

No, it doesn't. The relevant issue is not whether or not Iraq should be invaded, it's what to do now. Last I checked, Kerry doesn't have a time machine laying around.
That's the biggest pile of bull**** since the Iraq buying yellowcake rumor. He's taken at least 4 by my count based on how the political winds were flowing at the time.
No. He's until now pretty much ignored the specifics of occupation policy."Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way. "

I have yet to see any specifics about Kerry's flip flopping.
It's just tossed around as a generalization.
Probably because they don't have any real dirt on the guy.We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln

For me,
If Kerry even has a plan is only a bonus.
It seems that the current administration either does not have a plan or the one they have is not working. That means that the current administration needs to be replaced. The only remaining choice is Kerry. If Kucinich or Mccain or anyone else were running they would also get my vote before I could vote for the current admininstration.
This issue is to serious for party politics and useless propaganda. I'm basing my vote solely on the Iraq situation. The one were lives are at stake.
The stated reason for the invasion of iraq was the removal of weapons of mass destruction. The whole world was assured that Iraq had them and this was the case against Iraq. No WEAPONS were found. That means the case for war goes out the window. Liberation of Iraq is bull****. Apparently, the Iraqi's don't like the U.S. brand of liberation or it's not liberation. Either way B.S.
If Kerry wanted to send home all U.S. troops leaving Iraq in chaos fine by me.
If Kerry wants to increase U.S. involvement in Iraq to crush the Iraqi will to resist liberation fine by me.
Just do it in an honest, smart, forthright way that wil end the current situation.
Lastly, it's irksome to tie support of the U.S. with support for Iraq. Iraq is not the 51st state an americans owe no allegiance to Iraq, there people, or the Iraqi government. The U.S. armed forces do not swear an oath to protect them or any country other than the U.S.What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/
What can make a nigga wanna loose all faith in/Anything that he can't feel through his chest wit sensation
