Solich is going to get a job soon enough. He's being considered for a number of openings. Recently Cincy has been inquiring as well as UNLV. And before that there was talk he may go to Army or Colorado. And those are just the jobs which are assured of being open (though they may keep Barnett at Colorado now, who knows).

I think it's gotta be Notre Dame... if not 2, then 3.

Arkansas's season ended last Friday with the 43-14 loss against LSU at War Memorial in Little Rock. We were holding okay until the second half, which was just 20-14 IIRC. This ends a big deal in Arkansas: Houston Nutt's 17-0 streak in Little Rock. And we are 5-6 so no bowl game, breaking Houston Nutt's 6-year bowl streak. AR hero Matt Jones was still hurt from his hamstring and groin injuries, and that's just the way it goes sometimes. But we still had a fairly decent season. When you remove the "Arkansas will go undefeated" nuts from the average expectations, we did better than we were expected to, I figure.

As for next year? Arkansas will go undefeated.
that is my kind of projection!!!!
Ark did better then expected before the season started, but once we played Texas close, the expectations grew, as usual.
Wow! Tyrone Willingham appears to be out at Notre Dame. Hello Urban Meyer (which prety much screws over Florida).
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”
WOW... that's just a bad move by Notre Dame... seriously.
And, personally, I think Meyer stays at Utah.

Urban Meyer has a specific out in his contract for Notre Dame. I don't think he will stay if Notre Dame is offered to him.

I realize that, but his family really seems to love Utah. I'm not sure he'd move if his family pushed on him to stay.

You don't put a specific out like that in your contract unless it really is your dream job. The whole world of being a coach puts career first. Any wife who would demand family comes first would never have married a coach in the first place.
