You need to stay awake long enough to catch the West Coast games.
I have. Cal is the best team I have seen play out on that coast. They should have beat USC. The fact is that they didn't and that makes it impossible to put them ahead of an undefeated likely SEC champion. USC is vastly overrated IMHO. They show brilliance against weak opponents but seem to play poorly against stiff competetion.
After today's display, that obviously isn't the case for the Tigers.

I went to Cal, so of course I am biased. But.....
every team has close calls, but what counts is getting the win. Oklahoma's cornerbacks are suspect. I think they would get beat by a team that can pass protect and go long (like USC and Cal). I do not see any obvious weaknesses in USC. In addition, USC has the greatest team speed I have seen. If I had a vote, it would be
1. USC
2. Auburn
3. OU
4. Cal
It is my fervent hope that USC and Auburn meet in the national championship game (and that way, Cal gets to go to the Rose Bowl).

well..at least we have One thing in common with USC
N C State beat Virginia Tech..um..well..Brandon Pace missed a last minute field goal giving the Wolfpack a Win
And then there is a huge, HUGE dropoff to whoever number 7 is. Depending on my mood, what I had to eat for dinner, and the phase of the moon, it could be either Texas, Wisconsin, Boise State, or Louisville.
I honestly think that 1-6, it is nigh impossible to determine which team is best. Cal and Michigan are at the bottom simply because they have a loss to their credit, but both could easily beat any of the undefeated teams. Oklahoma's defense has been suspect (giving up 3 points to Nebraska proves nothing), which is why I have them at #4, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see them win the National Championship.
The National Championship game should be great this year, but if the Rose Bowl ends up being Cal vs. Michigan, I guarantee that will end up being the most exciting, well-played game of the BCS.

Mine to. i would love to see a Michigan-Cal matchup. Of course, I love anyone who makes the BIG preTENders look bad.

The only question I would have is Utah. They are untested against first level competition. They do have a good team though.

I grant they haven't played the level of competition the other top six teams have, but no team has looked more dominant week in and week out. That's why I give them the nod over Oklahoma.

With Wisconsin and Georgia losing, Utah will definitely climb back into the top 6 BCS rankings. We will see how Utah does against a top rate school in their bowl game.
I hope they win since that will raise more public outcry for a playoff.

I guess that it would be hard to disagree with that, but it is still a huge question IMO.

If they win out, they will absolutely DESTROY whatever piece of trash the Big East sends to the BCS. (Assuming that's what the matchup will be, which seems likely.)

Well, if Utah's BCS opponent is the Big East winner, I take back my previous post. Big East sucks donkey balls this year.

The Big East does suck, but it is likely to provide Utah's stiffest test of the season.
