    They went with this and didn't have the original. How the hell did they know if the photocopy they had wasn't tampered with to insert sigs etc. ?
    Not only that, but the staff at DNC doubted the documents based on not being able to verify the legitimacy of the source.

    CBS did not have any qualms, apparently.

      And they seemed to think that handwriting analysis could be used on photocopies to authenticate a signature above some typed nonsense.

                The rumor is that while the DNC had doubts, it was too juicy to let slide. Because they didn't want to get hit with the backlash if it proved false, they slipped it to CBS, believing that CBS would do thorough checks on it first.

                      Where did they come from? The family says there are no such documents attributable to the supposed author.
