      Well, he is right Ramo.

I do like it how you and Agathon dismiss them as "rants," and "idiots."

      Elitists

This is idiotic. Because I don't see a certain Iraqi blogger (who likely is in the elite himself) as worth reading, I'm an "elitist" somehow? What kind of inane logic is that?

Have you read Indymedia today? Elitist.

No, they are redundant. We have plenty of useless "news" stations as they are. I stick to PBS and the newspapers.

Actually we were referring to your idea that Iraqi blogs are rants not worth reading. And you're right, students are part of the elite.

I don't read any blogs from anyone. If I am going to read people's opinions, I prefer debate like here in Poly, or reading policy pieces by people well versed on the subject.

I never said any such thing. In fact, I specifically said that I read some Iraqi blogs in that very post! You're just making **** up.

Didn't you just say you were interested in the "scene on the ground." The garbage collector? The shopkeeper?

The people you just mentioned are that privileged middle class you just scorned.

There's a broad range of political opinion in Iraq, just like in the US. Just because some guy or gal in Iraq has a computer doesn't give any specific legitimacy to their rants.
Nope, you're right. I'm just making this quote up.
