Well, I have to agree with the much maligned Zinzan.

It isn't the fact that he was targetted previously that matters. It's that the same, or an increased level of attention will have more of an effect.
I don't think it will have any more or less effect. Wilkinson is an incredibly brave bugger. He will play on regardless, as he always has. The only possible difference could be if someone succeeds in re-injuring his shoulder. And I don't think that was the point of Zinzan's waffling. He completely overlooks the fact that Wilkinson has always been a target. The Boks tried to murder him.

Hors d'oeuvre is indeed more appropriate but entrée is often used as a synonym.

      Rosé = Tapette!
I can see that your French is quickly improving itself thanks to le petit ophrys.

In that case, I'll tell you what I cooked for our friends on Tuesday night. Organic, free-range chicken legs and thighs braised in brown chicken stock for a couple of hours with garlic, tarragon, thyme, rosemary, baby onions, baby potatoes and aromatic vegetables. For pud, individual self-saucing chocolate puddings with homemade vanilla bean ice cream.

            Peckish?

            • I really hope the guy doesn't suffer too many adverse affects but he'd be a nong if he were to jump right back in to the middle of the fray the way he used to, and that he isn't.
He hasn’t been making the heavy tackles for his club – we should know as we kept sending Rabeni down his channel.

(Mind you he is improving game on game)

The die is cast now sadly – he is skipper and will probably feel obliged to lead from the front. I can foresee a fresh shoulder injury because Finbar is quite right that the lad is a brave little bugger.

Moody is the same of course – throwing himself everywhere.

I hope Ellis makes the breakthrough as he is remarkably brave for a scrummie – frequently in mixing it with the forwards (not to mention Glasgow kissing Steve Hanley – a huge Cohenesque winger without the same talent)

Still our U19 England fly half is starting to look good – maybe Jonny is over the hill at 25?

Roughly the same territory as pâté. Served cold, sometimes with toast.
I have always found pâté too rich for me, sadly.

              Guilty as sin, obviously.
              Humphries? Hell yes.

Is the injury chronic? Is another thrashing of the shoulder going to undo the operation?

What's the theory about moving Wilkinson into the centres? Making him less of a target? Which, I'd've thought, was just about impossible.

Mmmm. Rillettes might strike you the same way. It's your heritage, y'see.

Using that ugly mug of his to scuff up those Leicester players nice shiny boots no doubt ...

About GFR, today is a great day as I have finally managed to find the album produced in 1976 by Frank Zappa: Good Singin', Good Playin'.

Ah, dear old Frank Zappa. Years ahead of his time. Have you listened to much of his stuff? I think I still have, somewhere deep in my record cupboard, his very early 70s album satire of "Sergeant Peppers". Called "We're Only In It For The Money". Its cover is a stunning satire of the "Peppers" cover. I must see if I can find it.
