If you don't mind his American spelling of C-E-N-T-R-E.

Their coach by the way is on the Lions coaching roster – and is the worst (least gracious) loser I have ever encountered in the UK in the Professional era.
    Worse even than Clive?

Having said that the reports I heard from those who watched said Toulouse were awful…sorry.
I've now read several reports that said Toulouse were crap. That seals it. They were.

The best news is probably that Ellis and Moody each got a brace of tries. Add that to Cohen scoring a match winning try for Saints in their game and maybe there is a glimmer of hope for England…
So that would be Fatty Cohen's first try since ... ?

About the Biarritz Olympique, I can only say that this is one of the worst games I have ever seen. Bad Wasps beating a worst Basque team unable to handle the ball. A very poor game with uninspired and clumsy French players accumulating stupid fools. This is one those games you have to forget very quickly, the only winners are those that have taken a nap while their TV was on.
So what you're saying, in summary, is that they were no better than Toulouse against the unpronounceable Taffys?

Oh the lad is keen – and he has some ability. But the IQ I suspect is in the Phil Waugh ballpark.

And I doubt I would be understood anywhere in France if I say Clan-ethli.
        Fair enough.

If you don't mind his American spelling of C-E-N-T-R-E.
It is your job to criticise spelling. Mine to laugh at Welsh exiles in France.

        Worse even than Clive?
I would say so. But you can judge yourself. After losing to Tigers after a successful penalty we took from the half way line he claimed the sticks were made out of the ‘wrong stuff’ and that they had blown in the wind letting the ball over when it really should not have made it. I am not kidding here. The guy is a grade one ass.

I've now read several reports that said Toulouse were crap. That seals it. They were.
Did they say how great the referee was?

Better... They were incredibly worst, their game was a dysmal failure...

No wonder Clive is taking him along on the Lions tour. They're out of the same mould.

Did they say how great the referee was?
They didn't, but if they had, they'd've said the ref favoured Toulouse all day but they were too crap to take advantage of it.

I've hunted my Petit Ophrys for the expression "rose-coloured glasses", as in a biased opinion. It's not there! It should be. It's a very common expression. What's the French for it?

When do the fall tours start?
Presumably you mean autumn? Here are your dates to look forward to:

13 Nov 2004 Italy vs All Blacks

20 Nov 2004 Wales vs All Blacks (Cardiff)

27 Nov 2004 France vs All Blacks (Paris)

4 Dec 2004 Barbarians vs All Blacks

Only 17 more sleeps to go. Give or take a sleep, subject to time zones.

Tucked up in his comfy, warm cot in the East Midlands, Havak's nose twitches in his sleep as his subconscious senses an opportunity to mention, yet again, the All Blacks' habit of avoiding playing England.

Relaxing in his four-storey NY brownstone with a glass of port after a fine dinner, Caligastia dreams of Havak resurrecting the old All Blacks-avoiding-England chestnut, ready to remind Havak of England's last glorious expedition to the Shaky Isles.

For a moment there I thought you were back to Toulouse and had gone back on your earlier assessment of a certain Welshman.

                      • I notice (catching up on the last week or so) that young Jonny did himself another injury and will be out for another few weeks.
Poor guy, and Englands loss, but I have to say I'm glad he'll be out for the RSA game. Even though they've made an effort to clean their play up I always thought his fronting up against them again so soon after coming back would have been a bad idea.
Much better for England to ('potentially' as a courtesy to Havak ) take its lumps and not unwisely expose their playmaker.

Incidentally who is this Larder chap? New Engalnd semi-coach or somesuch.

"The All Blacks epitomise to me the pinnacle of international rugby, they are an outstanding nation, they are brilliant players,"

Sounds rather intelligent and well-prioritized for an Englishman ...

He even references Graham Henry as an outstanding coach which will no doubt attract an opinion or two?

Read the article closely. He went on three Rugby L***** Lions tours. 'Nuff said.

She's of Italian heritage? That's fine by me. Where in Italy is the family from? We're off over there for a couple of years sometime in the first half of next year.
