It's more than that. The real story is Republicans don't like Moore, but that won't be the story run. Instead it'll turn into the Republicans don't respect opposing viewpoints and are against the spirit of freedom of the press.

Ted Kennedy is an *******. My mother actually saw him on Capital Hill a little while ago (she and I were doing volunteer work there for the American Council for the Blind) He yelled at a bunch of disabled people for taking a tram, which the security guard explicitly allowed them to do, instead of walking. If you want, I'll give a more detailed explanation of the event. But that's the short verion of it.

How exactly does not allowing a well-known propagandist (who will more than likely use footage from your convention to make you look like fools at a later date) to come to your private convention equal a lack of respect for opposing viewpoints? He's not even expressing any viewpoints. He's just plotting and destroying the buffet.

Alright. I'll tell the long version. Firstly, it's important for you to know that my sister is blind, among other handicaps. That's a whole long story in itself, but the important thing is that she went to Maryland School for the Blind, and that's how my family is related to the Blind community.

Anyway, I needed community service for school, and my mom got notice that the presidents of each state American Council for the Blind organization would be going to Capital Hill to lobby for various issues the Blind are concerned with (Descriptive Video act, the Transportation Bill, and a number of other things) Anyway, Capitol Hill has a lot of stairs and long hallways, so they were looking for (seeing) volunteers to assist them in getting around. So my mother and I volunteered.

I guided around the Georgia delegation and brought them to the offices of Miller, Chambliss, Burns, Norwood, etc. My mother went with a different group. You get the idea.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know, most congressmen do not have offices in the actual Capitol building. There are many other office buildings in the area, and all are connected by underground tunnels. My mom had to take her delegation to the Russell building (where Kennedy's office is) and so she asked the guard if they could take the underground tram instead of using the tunnels, given that they were blind and the tunnels had lots of steps and such. Anyway, Kennedy obviously is in no condition to handle steps either. So he was on the tram when they got on. He eyed them suspiciously, and then said very obnoxiously that they weren't supposed to be there. They said they had permission from the guard, but Kennedy said they had to have badges to be on the train, and argued with the guard for a little before giving in.

That's my Ted Kennedy story.
