Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

And it is the Democratic Party of those states that fought and is fighting for them.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

The Federalist/Republicans,., which is a very weak link at best, were fighting for Federal authority back then. We proboby reached the leve they wanted about 150 years ago. What we have now is far beyond the scope of what they were advocating. So ont he surfice it seems like a flip flop on that issue, but in reality that topic is so context sensetive there is no way to judge it."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

Whaleboy, give us a link.
The only "civil rights" issue before the nation today is the gay rights issue. Right or wrong, Repubs are supporting a Federal solution. The Dems a States Rights solution.
In one of the Demo debates, though, Sharpton sharply (no pun intended) attacked the other's reliance on States Rights and supported a Federal solution to the problem.
So, it appears that the Demo party has returned to its roots. Ditto the Republican party.http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php?path=John+Williams+The+Imperial+M arch+from+The+Empire+Strikes+Back.ogg&wiki=en
