I moved to normal sometime around 8th grade. Before then I was a nerd who didn't get picked on, largely because my best friend was 6'4" and 230 pounds at the age of 14, but also because my school was small.

The only comfort I get is that in the 10 years I was trying to get with her, nobody else managed it either."You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran

I thought of that. She did spend an unusual amount of time with one other particular girl (very pretty as well), and nobody ever got far with her either.
If they were attracted to each other, I don't blame them."You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Your favorite team, in any sport, is the one that just won. If you were a woman, you'd likely be a slut." - Slowwhand, to Imran

I'll say I was normal, because I don't fit anywhere else. It was strange, I was a nerdy type, but also friends with some of the more popular kids in school, mostly because I was funny. So I was never bullied and after elementary school was hardly teased (I took it too well), but wasn't "left alone" either. So I was in a strange area.... perhaps because I was also into sports.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

And Apoc is such a *****. He's the guy that had a bad time in school and turned to the internet and people helped him through it, listened to him, talked to him and then he became a well adjusted member of HS society. Then others come in the same situation he was in and does he help them like others helped him? NO... he mocks them! Because he has this utterly insane view that he crawled out of it himself and didn't break down to strangers on the internet.
It's more insensitive than asking Apoc how his relationship with his 'loving' parents are going.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I never did anything just for fun. It was largely about someone else just being stupid somehow and me reacting.

I was a bit of everything. In the middle of the food chain pretty much. At school I hung out with nerds/retards and some popular folks too. I was on the football team. I picked on people, and I got picked on. (though less in high school than middle of course)
While not entirely popular, I was definitely known and respected.
And one year I was dating this hot blond, metal chick, and while we weren't very touchy-feely, I think we rated as a known couple. Plus I ran for class president, and in all my classes I was able to successfully pull off (at least I think I did) the smart guy who isn't nerdy.
So its a toss up. I'd eat lunch with the special ed kids, take classes with the preps, and play football with the jocks.

You must not have done it enough to get your point across. Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
