I'm sure Lithuania just had lots of luck, for all you US bashers out there.

Yes, they did get lucky (four-point play with just a couple minutes to go), but they were also good. Better than the U.S.

They deserved to win that game.

              Congrats, Lithuania!
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Not when we're too stuck up to use zone defense.

It was a good game actually. I'm amazed I watched part of the Olympics, but I saw most of the second half. US led the whole time, but Lithuania hammered them with 3 pointers at the end.

The US players screwed up by trying to respond with three pointers, only problem is the Americans can't shoot 3 pointers. So they kept wasting it. If they went for the 2 pointers they could make, it might have turned out different.

Oh well, it was a good game, came down to the final seconds.

of course, the more losing they do now, might mean the more winnning once the reach the semi finals and finals
