If you have pot odds (i.e. you need to call a dollar raise but stand a 1 in 6 chance like an outside straight draw of winning the 10$ with the next card) then it's good to call. This is where you're "paying" to see cards. It's a good idea to raise somebody if they're drawing on you (because usually you are the favourite in terms of percentage chance to win the hand), but if they have pot odds on you then it will be a good idea for them to call you as well.

If you have absolute odds to win the hand (see above) then it's a good idea to raise because on average each raise you make earns you money.

Of course, there are some hands you just HAVE to play, such as 10-2, 7-2, 6-9, etc.

Right now I've been playing about an hour and a half, and am up around $55. That's what, around $35-40/hour? I'm happy with that

gave 100 to a friend so im up 150. cashed out 225 this morning and only have 75 in the account. Im playing right now and im up about 50.

limit poker is where its at. Its a lot more predictable for me at least. i get a better sense of what people have and it has saved my ass a lot of times by not betting everything ive had.

the worst beat i had on that rush was i made the nut flush on the flop with AK and the guy pulls a boat out of nowhere. I was astounded, i lost 50 dollars on it. I was steamed.

i dont get the numbers as much but i do know when to hold and fold. i have loose understanding of pot odds. Im a pretty sure bet player though and will rarely ever bluff though.

Well, I played about 2.5 hours last night, won $230 on a buy in of $50, so I cashed out the $180 profit and am playing more later with the rest
