hmm, I wonder if "Goliath" will get him teased in school.

Anyway, the range of names will have be new-age biblical and modern Israeli. (we're perhaps the only country in the world where the common names given to kids change so rapidly)

Ariel, Harel, Shirli, Karen are some of the names that come to mind.

Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

One of my favorite names was on David Letterman couple of years ago, apparently there's some gas station attendant named Richard Assman and you know the nickname for Richard is...

My brother has threatened to name his first kid Xerxes, the 'Irks' pronunciation of course.

Not that he will be having kids anytime soon.

It doesn't sound that bad, just hell to pronounce.
