Who said that we'll be able to recognize other forms of life's intelligence?

Well, if it's building space ships and landing on Earth then it should be easy to recognize.

I just assumed that a disclosure wouldn't be like "we learnt aliens exist yesterday", but a full one.

Well, at least I can have a laugh at those who refuse to believe in aliens. It's very rare to read anything by a good skeptic, because there are very few good skeptics, unfortunately - ones that can really raise valid counter-points and make their case.

Lancer, you just casually reading up on aliens, or is it more serious?

                I say UFOs are angels.

                  It's very probable.

Some say the Pyramids in Egypt were built by aliens. Others say aliens have already established underground societies here on Earth. I'm sure you could even find some who say the Pope is an alien.

And Last Conformist could be on to something...

Well, I susbscribe under the pyramid sentence. Actually, it's just that only one pyramid was built by aliens, and then probably not aliens themselves but using some alien technology, and built *because* of aliens. Sometimes people do indeed go too far in stating that, uh, the entire Egyptian civilization was built by aliens or something. That's a bit too much.

But aliens had a defining role in the early humankind history.

I think it's extremely unlikely that aliens had anything to do with the contruction of the Great Pyramid.

I think it's unlikely they didn't. Unlikely that aliens physically built it, too. However, I believe that at least some Egyptian gods, like Osiris, Thoth or Horus were real persons - aliens.

Though unfortunately I can't speak about alien influence in ancient times as much as about modern ufology. For serious debates, I stick to the modern times, but for theorizing, I touch upon the ancient times too. It's just that of ancient times I am not 100% certain - highly convinced, but not 100% just yet.

Hell, if aliens were going to land on earth, I'd panic.

Even if you believe that the Great Pyramid was built by aliens or 'alien technology', I see no reason to make the logical leap that some members of the Egyptian pantheon were in fact aliens.

Since any and all traces of this technology have vanished completely from the historical record, I see no reason why this shouldn't apply the aliens themselves.
