I'm not angry, I think those complaining about should just consider the source and realize he can't really be expected to behave any better.

The governor lifted the term from a long-running "Saturday Night Live" skit in which two pompous, Schwarzenegger-worshipping weightlifters repeatedly use it to mock those who don't meet their standards of physical perfection.
I would bet, rather, that he used it for the comic relief
Really, isn't that just a funny phrase to hear in a Schwarzenegger-voice?

It's funny how the PC types take this girlie comment so seriously.
Most normal people would take it as a joke. Some people have no sense of humour.
and I don't see how it is derogatory to homosexuals. Not all homosexuals are "girlie" men. The reference doesn't apply to gays. It applies to weak men with no upper body strength.
And how can it be derogatory to women? It's **** like this that pisses me off. Why can't we admit women are not equal to men with regards to upper body strength. Why do we have to pretend women are just as good as men in every category. The fact is womens' bodies are "girlie". This is not a bad thing.Comment

Damn... I guess we should lock up a lot of men who worked in offices with women in the 50s and 60s (ie, slapping on the butt).
And I guess sex criminal Bill Clinton should be locked up as well.
