How many people here, who aren't pathetic nerds who can't get a woman, would actually take seriously the idea that they should never have sex, or that they should have sex only while married?

Since preaching abstinence doesn't even work as well as contraception advice in preventing teen pregnancies, I fail to see why it is supposed to work to prevent the spread of AIDS.

Because taking some sort of religious stance on this matter and refusing to help unless worthless "abstinence" campaigns are included leads to many deaths.

Bush and the Republicans are idiots at the best of times, but on this issue they have stooped even lower.

And we are just as naturally irresponsible in our own sexual habits. It's just that we have the state and societial conditions to mitigate the effects of our behaviour. If we lived in an African society we would probably be behaving in much the same fashion.
