  • What you say is true, but just saying that they are fallacious cloaks important differences between informal and formal fallacies. This happens too much on Apolyton and leads to people accusing others of fallacies where there are in fact none. My favourite is the appeal to authority. Some people think that if you base any argument on the premise that some expert says it, then it is fallacious. But that's not the case.

          Could I just point out, Aggie, that Vangelis's soundtrack for 'Blade Runner' is I think the only time you will hear Mary Hopkin and Demis Roussos on the same soundtrack?
