  • Re-establish the Ottoman Empire?

Give Iraq to the Turks, the only representative moslem government in the region. They get the oil, and the problems. The Kurds would have to have some ability to self govern, perhaps like the Scots in GB, or the native americans in the US.

...assuming what we're doing now falls through, an assumption I'm not ready to make...

Yeah, sounds like a great plan. Beside the small fact that your reasoning has no connections with reality whatsoever.

I think we should rid Africa of things like "nations" and "borders" and return it to warring trade kingdoms and tribes.

Who cares if it's a troll this could be fun!

Consider the fact that currently about as many kurds live in turkey as Iraq and that it is considered an impossiblity to give them a little nation state of their own. So as long as we accept that national borders need not have any connection to ethnic/cultural borders *why not* append iraq onto turkey and carve up the kurdish gordian knot by establishing yet another state which owes its borders to some obscure historical politcal connection. Look how long it has been since taiwan was truly politcally united with the mainland!

We have to include Syria and Lebanon in the New Ottoman Empire.
