  • I've Never Done Drugs In My Life.

Im 17 and Ive never smoked anything, drank anything alcoholic, nor have I ever snorted anything. I havent injected anything either, nor abused OTC medicine or RX Meds, nor inhaled/huffed anything. Im squeaky clean, so squeaky clean you could shine metal on me, and yet no one seems to appreciate it except myself. WTF? Drug free and proud my buttocks.

Shall I partake of an alcoholic beverage the next time my family...uh celebrates?

What does alcohol do anyway? How does it change your thought process?

Perhaps I should continue my life squeaky clean, what do you guys think?

(feel free to throw out any reason for the arguement one way or the other)

You're 17 and you really don't know? A few pints and it will dawn on you how stupid communism really is.

I know what Ive seen and I know what Ive been told. But Ive never been given a detailed description of how your thought process really changes.

Alcohol changes your mind in that it makes all things seem very simple and straightforward. And it switches off most of your brain and you have to rely on your instincts to survive (and "hey I am good driver" is a bad instinct for that).

On the other hand for those who think a lot if something is good or not and if you should or not and blahblah it is a very welcomed change in that you just do it without thinking too much about it. And because I never did anything stupid I think this is quite okay :-)

Zigarettes are nice in that way that they give me a "drunk" feeling for about 5 minutes where everything in my head swirls and I feel very dizzy. Though I hate cigarettes so I do not smoke regularly. Just on some parties and occassionally when going out.
Nevertheless I think I feel a bit of an addiction already, but I wont be so stupid to start smoking regularly.

I think it doesnt matter if you try to stay clean or not. If you dont try it out someday you probably feel you have missed something and if that feeling outweighs the feelings for the good things you have done then you should probably be less restrictive.

I'm not sure of the exact chemical reactions and how alcohol interacts with the brain on a microscopic level but the basic effects are this. One drink: People feel at easy, they're a bit more talkative and open. A few drinks: People are generally louder and their aim/reactions are slowed a bit. Depending upon their personality type they are either 1) Happier and willing to laugh more easily or 2) brooding and withdrawing from conversation. It's the brooders you have to look out for because they're the ones who end up causing fights while drunk. A few more drinks: People are unsteady on their feet, their reactions a slowed even more and their aim is off that much more as well. Often times people will be sleepy. Several more drinks: He's now completely drunk, he has a hard time walking because his sense of balance is so bad, if he's really gone then he might be barfing or pissing himself. He has a hard time following even simple conversation, he's very tired, and he's probably been kicked out of the bar by now.

Instead you simply sit around for the rest of your life wondering what you missed. Life is best in moderation.

Wow, even I've had a little alcohol. Detest the stuff, though.
