  • I don't know what Kerry's opinion was wit this Chicagoan... But this one is true: opening the divorce files to the public is right down in the gutter. And I'm actually surprised it is legal.

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

      • There's Drudge stirring up the ****. Fun bit of political theater.

A majority of the politicians in this town have been divorced. This looks like just the first of the secondary explosions from this Ryan deal.

How is this "coming around?" Kerry never weighed in on the Ryan issue. In fact, none of the Democrats did--Obama kept quiet on it. It was the GOP who raised a stink over it and who pressured Ryan out of the race. So it should come around to them.

          • that's because obama is a man of class.

            he teaches class, too.

            • Assuming knowledge of Ryan's political aspirations (and it seems clear this was the case), Ryan's divorce lawyer was incompetent.

Methinks the fact that Ryan was going to get schooled by Obama may have greased the skids for Ryan's exit from the race. What I find interesting is that the Illinois GOP seems to welcome it. ("Gee that's, um, terrible and tragic. Yeah, that's the ticket!")

Given the content of the released documents, the idea that they were sealed "to protect my son" is certainly a pile of crapola.

Obama was smart enough to get his background issues (collegiate drug use!!) put behind him early. Ryan's way of playing his hand maximized the political downside. Another rich guy without political savvy. Loser.

I agree with this. This was not handled well. However, I think that his fellow Republicans implying that they were lied to by Ryan is a little much. They just didn't pursue it to see what the meat of the issue was and relied on Ryan's political judgment that it wasn't a candidacy killer.

I think it can run the gamut but I don't think its ever as easy as you can jump any woman you want. ( Consent is as big in a swing club as anywhere) First of all, from what I have read, single men are not allowed in most of these places. You have to bring a woman with you and likely go through a screening.

When I think of this I am usually thinking of "swingers" and apparently many of them are not into massive orgies and orgies don't go on at most of these clubs. The clubs are generally just a place to meet with similarly minded folks and arrange to get together. Some of the clubs might have private or not so private rooms.

Apparently the mass orgy is on the extreme for most people and the majority of people go to these places to find swapping aprtners and rarely, if ever, actually do anything much at the club itself.
