Color me stupid, but wasn't CivNet a multiplayer game?
It's an improved Civ I with a full Windows compatibility and a mp mode. You can play it in sp. I mostly play both of 'em because I like the original's graphics better, but I don't have to see the trouble playing aruond 10 minutes with DOS when playing CivNet... CN for short sessions, original when I have an entire lazy sunday evening free.

I played the original when I was 9. Thought the jokes were lame (altough I didn't got almost any of those references to early 80's US street culture...), never played any game of the series after that.

Unlike many of the unshaved reactionaries here, I prefer CivIII to CivII. More complexity, brighter AI, sensibler random maps, no caravans/spies (sorry guys, but I hated them in CivII). And Domination victory, which has made me continue many a game to finish I wouldn't have otherwise.

I've even come to like the cartoony graphics.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

            Cheers!

This is too why I have started playing CIVIII Conquests..for most of same reasons listed above

I don't think I've actually played a game of civ2 this year, but it is the only game covered by Apolyton that holds my interest...

This is actually one of the biggest reason I prefer C3 to C2 or SMAC - it feels so much nicer.

Dinos doesn't exist. SimGolf aspires to that fate.

                        Civ 3. Of course.

So you're the one who still plays that.

One of the few games I purchased at full price and played less than MoO3.
