I've been telling undecided left-wingers to vote Green. I don't agree with them, but they're largely principled people who mean well. At the YUSU European election hustings, their lead candidate in Yorkshire & Humber Mark Hill came across extremely well, witty, down-to-earth and well-intentioned.Originally posted by Starchild

He lost by one vote after some Plaid Cymru scaremongering, and hardly tried to hide the fact that he was a Tory anyway. He'd already been elected to a Welfare Sabbatical as an open Tory, something which I believe is pretty much unique in Student Union politics...
