Green Party. It's rounder than all the other squares.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

I've been telling undecided left-wingers to vote Green. I don't agree with them, but they're largely principled people who mean well. At the YUSU European election hustings, their lead candidate in Yorkshire & Humber Mark Hill came across extremely well, witty, down-to-earth and well-intentioned.

They're certainly infinitely preferable to the RESPECT extremists, the Blairite clones, or the Liberal Democrat hypocrites.

Sorry I had to at this. Better them than the Lib Dems huh...

I won't be voting, as I'm going home on Saturday, and it's too much effort for a meaningless vote.

Ah Asher, you'll be starting rumours about us if you keep up like that.

Ah well, never mind. Those 2000 leaflets didn't really help, then...

He lost by one vote after some Plaid Cymru scaremongering, and hardly tried to hide the fact that he was a Tory anyway. He'd already been elected to a Welfare Sabbatical as an open Tory, something which I believe is pretty much unique in Student Union politics...

I'm standing as a Conservative, anyway. I can hardly hide that fact when it's on the bloody ballot paper.
