I think the show had a great premise, but they kinda got away from it. Its falling into the typical Star Trek mold. Except its like September 11 Star Trek.

Interesting to point out paralells to our current world, but beyond that.... cliche stuff.

Time travel and nazi's have been done to death. I like the idea of a retrofuture. That's a little fresher don't ya think.

Hey Q-Cube, can you name some of those timeline inconsistences? I always hear that but I can't find any. I mean Christ, let's get some answers here, people.

          1 inconsistency:
in ST:TNG episode s1e10 "The Battle", it is established that Capt. Jean-Luc Picard made first contact with the Ferengi at the Battle of Maxia Zeta aboard the USS Stargazer in 2355.
however, in Enterprise epsiode s1e19 "The Acquisition", the Ferengi attempt to get control of the USS Enterprise NX-01.

Having gone straight to posting without reading any previous comments, let me just say what a terrible, horrible abomination that Star Trek Enterprise is. May it quickly consume itself and free us of its horrid existence before it destroys the entire franchise.

granted, chronology with star trek is like trying to maintain consistency with any comic book series, but please, people, we don't need something to be that... inconsistent.

ST:TNG episode s2e16 "Q Who?" establishes first contact with the Borg. This is later shot to hell in ST First Contact, in which the Borg arrive in 21st-century Earth.
Enterprise episode s2e23 "Regeneration" has Borg appearing in the 22nd-century in the Alpha Quadrant. Previously, it had been established that the Borg hadn't made it that far as late as the 23rd until deliberately invited by Q. The one loophole that might have allowed them to come early, which would be a transmission from the Enterprise in First Contact, didn't go through because Picard, Worf, and the late Ensign Hawk stopped that.

It's possible that it's not known by the Feds about that ship in STE or that the info was lost somehow. It's also possible that the Borg ship never makes it back to Borg Space.

and a niggling point thrown in just to be amusing.

The Klingons don't like talking about this point in their history, but in TOS, all of them are smooth-foreheaded. It wasn't until 1981's ST:TMP that they gained forehead ridges. Yet the Klingons in Enterprise have forehead ridges... curious, isn't it?
(This argument falls apart when considering this: ST: DS( episode s2e19 "Blood Oath" features the return of three TOS Klingons (Kor (First seen in: TOS s1e26 "Errand of Mercy"), Koloth (TOS s2e15 "Trouble with Tribbles"), and Kang (TOS s3e7 "Day of the Dove")) who had smooth foreheads in TOS but ridged ones in DS9. Kudos, however, because they brought back the same actors.)

Perhaps. It IS established, though, that the Borg had no desire to be in the Alpha Quadrant until Q threw the Enterprise to the Delta Quadrant just to be a bastard.

I know. I've stopped watching and following Star Trek ever since Barbie joined Voyager.

here's what i think of it now:
